KINDERZOO: SENSE LIKE THE ANIMALS DO
Summer Campers will discover the adaptations that help animals sense the world around them. They can explore how snakes smell with their tongues or how eagles can find food a mile away with their keen eyesight. Each day will be spent learning about different animal senses through activities, games and up-close observations.

KINDERZOO: WHERE THE WILD THINGS LIVE
Summer Campers will explore all of the places where animals can live. Some build nests in trees, some dig burrows and some just hide in the bushes. Your child will explore the Zoo to look for wild animal homes and learn how we provide the best shelter for the Zoo animals, too. They can even build their own shelter in our nature play space. Each day they will explore through activities, play, and up-close animal experiences.
PRE KINDERGARTEN - KINDERGARTEN
KINDERZOO: ANIMAL SUPERHEROES
Each day campers will explore the amazing superpowers that different animals have. Whether they are as fast as a car or can leap tall campers in a single bound, every animal can be a superhero. By the end of the week, summer campers will create their own imaginary super animals that demonstrate some of the adaptations that they studied. Camp includes up-close animal encounters, visits to exhibits, and hands-on activities!

WEEK OF WILDLIFE: ZOO ACADEMY
Your summer camper can join us this week to learn about animals through science, math, reading and wild explorations around the zoo. Campers can learn to measure and count out animal foods and provide them with shelter. Through games, crafts and other activities they will discover how we enrich the lives of our animals everyday. Finally, by the end of the week they will graduate the academy as budding animal experts.

WEEK OF WILDLIFE: ANIMALS LIKE US
Summer Campers will spend the week looking at how animals are similar or different from us. They will explore how animals eat, move, and sense the world around us. Can they jump like a puma or crawl like a turtle? This program will give them a chance to find out through experiments, games and up-close animal experiences.
1ST - 2ND GRADE
WEEK OF WILDLIFE: WILD ANIMAL MUSIC
Animals "talk" through whistles, tweets, trumpets and an orchestra of other sounds. Come and explore our wonderfully musical world of animals in the Zoo. Through games, experiments and some instrument making of their own, campers can learn about animal sounds and communication. Summer Camp includes up-close animal encounters, visits to exhibits and hands-on activities!

ZOO EXPLORERS: ANIMAL MYSTERIES
Become a super sleuth and join us for an exploration of the mysterious animals that live in the Americas. Each day campers will use the scientific process to identify a new surprise animal. Through experiments, and observations of animal adaptations, habitats and habits, they will solve the mystery and identify an amazing animal. Summer Camp includes up-close animal encounters, visits to exhibits and hands-on activities!
3RD - 5TH GRADE
ZOO EXPLORERS: ANIMALS THROUGH TIME
Animals have evolved over time. Some have survived and some have been replaced by others. Through explorations of prehistoric animals like dinosaurs and comparisons to animals like birds today, campers discover how certain adaptations have helped a species survive. From scales, to feathers or fur, and through observations and experiments of body structures and behaviors campers will learn about animals in our world. Summer Camp includes up-close animal encounters, visits to exhibits and hands-on activities!
6TH - 8TH GRADE
JUNIOR SCIENTISTS
Campers discover how WCS scientists, artists, and exhibit designers replicate the natural areas we protect around the globe in our zoo. During this week of camp, your child can learn how WCS studies these habitats and educates and inspires visitors about the animals that live there. Through engaging activities, exhibit visits, and animal demonstrations, campers will gain a new understanding of zoo exhibit design. Summer Campers will use what they have learned to then explore some of the natural areas around the zoo and create their own model exhibit!
