These Easy Buffalo Chicken Wraps come together quickly and will please the whole family! This tasty recipe takes all of 15 minutes to make, and boy is it good! These are definitely worth trying! Enjoy a quick and easy meal by making this delicious recipe. Check it out! If you are looking for a fancy or gourmet buffalo chicken wrap recipe check out The Best Buffalo Chicken Wrap (Life Changing Fancy Recipe!) It is a little more involved and not as quick and easy to make but is an amazing recipe and worth the extra work.

Why I Love this Buffalo Chicken Wraps Recipe?

I want to add that, this is probably my favorite way to eat buffalo chicken. My mom is a huge fan of wings, but they aren’t my thing. I love the spicy flavor, but I do not like getting messy. It is pretty much impossible to eat wings without a mess! Also, buffalo wings are inherently greasy, which is also not my thing.

This buffalo chicken wrap recipe uses boneless, skinless chicken, and it is all wrapped up neatly in a tortilla. I get all that delicious buffalo chicken flavor in a much healthier and easier form. Yay! This is a dish that is easy and fast to make. Besides its affordability, its ingredients are available to you anytime. Delicious! Plus you can take these on the go with you to work for lunch or on a picnic.

15-Minutes Buffalo Chicken Wraps (quick, easy recipe!) (1)

Another benefit of this easy-to-make buffalo chicken wraps recipe is that chicken makes a fantastic substitute for red meats. A great source of protein, there is a variety of health benefits meat has like stronger bones and muscles, heart health and weight management, and good nutrition.

Quick and Simple Buffalo Chicken Wraps

You’ve come to the right spot if you’re looking for a weeknight meal that’s quick, simple, and incredibly tasty. With spicy chicken covered in buffalo sauce, fresh, crunchy vegetables, and tangy homemade ranch dressing all wrapped up in a soft flour tortilla, Buffalo Chicken Wraps are always wonderful. In less than 15 minutes, the dish is prepared and ready for the dinner table. It’s easy to substitute other vegetables for the carrots and cabbage or add more chicken for a high protein meal. Substitute blue cheese dressing for the ranch dressing.

Easy Buffalo Chicken Wrap Modifications and Substitutions

Wraps are a great way to incorporate a bunch of veggies or even a “salad” into your meal. Below are some ways you can add even more veggies and flavor to your wrap.

  • You can reduce the carb content of this dish by substituting the tortilla with an iceberg lettuce wrap. You can also make it a salad by filling a bowl with chopped lettuce, then adding your veggies, tossing with ranch dressing, topping with warm or cold buffalo chicken, and enjoy!
  • Substituting romaine or iceberg lettuce for the shredded cabbage
  • Other sliced or chopped veggies that go great in wraps are: cucumber, red pepper, avocado, celery, red onion, tomato and even corn!

Here are a few shortcuts you can take to make this recipe even faster.

  • Substitute cooked rotisserie chicken for the fresh chicken breasts. Simply pull and shred the rotisserie chicken meat and then toss with sauce and warm on the stove or in the microwave.
  • Substitute canned chicken breast and simply toss the drained canned chicken with buffalo sauce and warm in the microwave or in a pan on the stove.
  • Use packaged salad or lettuce mix from the grocery store.

How To Keep Wraps From Getting Soggy?

  1. Wraps get soggy if they sit for too long and the ingredients are wet or saucy. If you are taking the wrap for lunch or not eating it immediately, I recommend using a little less hot sauce and dressing and then bringing more on the side. Yes, the wrap will be a little dry, but it won’t get soggy, and you can always dip the wrap in ranch or buffalo sauce before each bite!
  2. Lightly toast your wrap in the oven or heat it in the microwave before rolling. These will release a little moisture from the wrap, which helps prevent it from getting soggy.
  3. When you take your wrap with you, wrap it in aluminum foil or place it in a sealed plastic container to prevent it from getting smooshed.

Simple Buffalo Chicken Wraps Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: First of all, slice chicken breast into several long, thin strips. Then, in a bowl, whisk together salt, olive oil, hot sauce, and other spice that you like. Mix all of that with the chicken and allow to marinate for at least 10 minutes. This recipe works great with rotisserie chicken or leftover grilled or roast chicken breasts. Simply shred the leftover chicken, coat with the buffalo sauce, warm in the pan or microwave and skip to the end and assemble your wraps!

You might worry that the chicken will be too spicy when you see the amount of hot sauce in the recipe, but it is not that hot, especially with the dressing and veggies to cool them down. Remember that every ingredient should be to your taste. I always guide my readers to follow their tastes and preferences, as there is no perfect recipe for everyone!

Step 2: Cook the chicken strips as you wish. I choose to arrange them into a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and let the meat cook for 5 minutes.

Step 3: Meanwhile, place tortillas on a plate and spread with a thin layer of bleu cheese or ranch dressing. Layer with lettuce, carrots, and cheese and top with the warm buffalo chicken from the pan.

Why Make This Recipe?

Quick: This recipe only takes 15 minutes to prepare (even less if you use leftover or rotisserie chicken).

Easy Dinner: The best dish because they are so simple to do. Even kids can do it.

Healthy: Our buffalo chicken wraps recipe is very healthy. The wraps are packed with protein, Vitamin A, and huge bursts of Vitamin C, Calcium, and Iron. Whole30 and paleo friendly diets can be observed by removing the wraps and dressing.

Flexible: buffalo chicken wraps are a great alternative for a quick dinner or lunch that can be easily scaled up for a large group. They are always a favorite.

15 minutes is all you need to get a great dinner on the table that the whole family will enjoy!

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast (or two rotisserie chicken breasts)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter or olive oil
  • 1 cup hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 large tortillas (I used spinach wraps.)
  • 1/2 cup Ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • 1 cup finely shredded cabbage or chopped lettuce
  • 1/2 cup coarsely shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter (or olive oil), hot sauce, onion and garlic powder, and salt. Remove half the hot sauce and set aside to use later for drizzling and dipping.
  2. For raw chicken: cut the chicken breasts lengthways into strips. Place in a medium bowl, add half the hot sauce, and toss to coat. Allow to marinate for at least 5 minutes. (You can put it in the fridge for up to 24 hours for more flavor.)
  3. For rotisserie or leftover chicken: Pull or shred the rotisserie chicken breast, place it in a medium bowl with half the hot sauce, and toss to coat.
  4. Meanwhile, heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil or spray with cooking spray.
  5. For raw chicken: Use tongs to arrange the sliced chicken breasts in your hot skillet, with a little bit of the marinade. Cook for approximately 5 minutes, flipping halfway, until chicken is cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan to cool, discard leftover sauce from the pan.
  6. For cooked rotisserie or leftover chicken: Use tongs to arrange the shredded chicken in your hot skillet with a little bit of the marinade. Cook for approximately 2 minutes, until the chicken and sauce are hot. (You can also reheat the chicken in the microwave until hot). Remove the chicken from the pan to cool, discarding the leftover sauce.
  7. Place your flour tortillas on a large plate and quickly warm them in the microwave for about 20 seconds. You can also warm them in the over at 350 degrees for about 2-3 minutes. Place each tortilla on a plate, and spread dressing evenly over the surface, leaving about an inch around the edges. Sprinkle cabbage, carrots, and cheese over the dressing. Add any other vegetables or ingredients you may want.
  8. Arrange cooked chicken pieces down the center of each tortilla. (This way, when you roll it, the chicken will be in the center and surrounded by all the veggies making every bite a perfect bite.) At this point, you can drizzle a little of the extra buffalo sauce on top if you like. Then fold in the two sides and roll up your wrap like a burrito.
  9. Enjoy as is or with a side of ranch, blue cheese, or buffalo sauce for dipping.

Storage Tips

Refrigerator: Wraps made with crispy buffalo chicken leftovers can be kept in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Freezer: Roll each wrap individually in foil after they have cooled, then place them in an airtight container and freeze for up to 3 months.

Reheat: Before reheating frozen leftovers in the microwave or oven, let them thaw in the refrigerator. Be sure to remove the foil before heating it in the oven. The chicken wraps in foil should be baked in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes, or until well heated.

These were a hit with the whole family. Since we love hummus we served it with blue cheese dressing but had an option of chipotle hummus for variety. Thanks for sharing.

Made these for lunch today – yum! Great recipe. I don’t care for ranch dressing, so I made this with a spicy mayo (mayo + siracha). The marinade was the best part, and I will definitely use that combination again. Thanks!

These look delicious! Can you tell me what brand/type of chicken tenders and hot sauce you recommend?

Andi

Hi, Rachel! These are just raw chicken tenders, and I probably bought Safeway organic brand. For the hot sauce, I used Frank’s. Hope that helps, and thanks so much for your visit!
